Sam Cuddeback, Secretary, Treasurer

Sam Cuddeback is a former teacher / independent school administrator. He retired in 2016 from a 25-year headship at Drew School in San Francisco. He served as Director of Admissions (Tabor Academy) and Assistant Head (Lick-Wilmerding SF), teaching English during many of those 70 semesters. He served on the board of the California Association of Independent Schools, several schools’ boards. Currently he serves as Vice-President and co-Head Agent of his Dartmouth College 1971 class.

Since 1968 he has spent a part of each year in Wellfleet, now nearly full-time with his wife, Meg Storey. For a decade in the mid-70’s – 80’s he was a resident summer care-taker / host at the “Samuel Rider House”, then-maintained by the Wellfleet Historical Society. He really savors the OUW classes he takes, and is pleased to help this wonderful organization continue to meet the needs of many Outer Cape “students”.  In his free time, he cycles, reads, journals and anticipates his next opportunity to travel.
