Steve Reynolds

During my 31 year career at Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH I taught courses in acting, playwriting, dramatic literature, theatre history, and theatre criticism. In addition, I directed over 40 classic and contemporary plays and musicals for the Department of Theatre and Dance including it is no desert by Dan Stroeh ('01) which received the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festivals’ National Student Playwriting Award and was performed at the Kennedy Center. I received Wittenberg’s major teaching awards and a Kennedy Center Gold Medallion for "extraordinary contributions to the teaching and producing of theatre and to the development of KCACTF." I have published several reviews and articles and guest directed theatre productions across the country.
Locally, I have served on the Board of Trustees of Cape Rep where I directed a Julie Harris tribute production of The Member of the Wedding and the Irish comedy, Stones in His Pockets. For Eventide Theatre in Dennis I have directed A Little Night Music, Dancing at Lughnasa, A Moon for the Misbegotten and the Kaplan New Play Competition. Most recently, I have taught classes on directing A Streetcar Named Desire and All My Sons for the Lifetime Learning program at Snow Library in Orleans. Tufts University gave me a B.A. in British Literature and The University of Michigan awarded me the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Theatre.
