Bonnie Shepard

Bonnie Shepard has worked internationally on sexual and reproductive health/rights and gender issues for most of her career, including a strong focus on young people’s health and development. First as an international donor agency program officer, and then as a consultant, she has 40 years of experience in leading program evaluations linked to strategic planning for non-profits, foundations, and international development agencies. She is the author of “Running the Obstacle Course to Sexual and Reproductive Health: Lessons from Latin America” (Praeger: 2006), a book of advocacy research and program case studies, as well as several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, most of which are available on her website https://www.blshepardconsulting.com/publications.html She was a member of the Board of Directors of Our Bodies Ourselves from 2000-2006, and then Chair of the Board from 2016-2018. Now mainly retired, she is an evaluation consultant for the Public Health Institute of Western Massachusetts and is on the coordination team of the Cape Cod Coalition for Universal Health Care.
