2019 Spring Pilgrimage for Art with Grace Hopkins
May 19-20 all day
This year we will travel to picturesque Brattleboro, Vermont to visit a famous art museum, a center for photography, and several artists’ studios. And surprisingly, these northern destinations have important connections with the arts on Cape Cod.
The Brattleboro Museum is hosting an exhibit by Osterville artist Joe Diggs, who will be our guide through the museum. The Director of the Vermont Photography Center will walk us though the juried 2019 Photography Show. And studio visits have been arranged with Paul Bowen, Eric Aho, and Rachel Portesi.
This year we will not be offering a van for travel to the area so you will need to arrange transport. Before the trip, Grace will offer a lecture/introduction for Pilgrimage participants. At that time, Open University can assist, if necessary, with car-pooling or other arrangements for the trip to Vermont.
We will begin in the morning of the 19th and end by 1pm on the 20th so overnight accommodations for the 18th and 19th are recommended. There are many possibilities in a range of prices in the Brattleboro area for you to choose from.
